Monetizing your blog is a big step and while there are many ways to do it, a lot of bloggers choose to monetize their blogs with sponsored posts. A sponsored post is a post that is promoted by a brand. Basically, the brand is paying you to talk about them. There are networks out there that specialize in connecting brands with bloggers. Some brands will want to partner with you for a sponsored post and others will want you to do a review of their product.
With a sponsored post, most networks (brands) want you to talk about the company. They will provide you with key points to cover in your post and also what to say on your social media pages to promote your post. Most of them will provide you with images or videos to share in your post and will include instructions on the specifics of the post: when to post, how often to share on social media, etc…
With a review, the brand will provide you with a product or service to try out. Then, they expect you to write a review with your opinion about the product or service.
When you’re writing a review or sponsored post, you need to make sure that you’re disclosing in your post that you are getting paid. If you need more info on disclosures, head on over here.
So, are you ready to get started with sponsored posts on your blog? Is your blog ready? If so I’ve compiled a list of networks that connects with bloggers and brands for you.
